Yup, that’s what happened to me.
I was running and I was about .25 of a mile from being finished and I bit it.
For some reason, I decided to reverse the trail that I normally run and end with the trail encumbered by roots at the end of my run. This was a bad decision yesterday because I already felt sluggish. Needless to say, the root jumped out from the ground and grabbed my ankle and I feel all the way to the ground.
You know that moment when you think you might be able to hold onto your balance and then you are able to? Your heart beats fast and you think, “Wow that was close.”
I passed that moment and realized there was no way to save it. I was going all the way down to the dirt.
And yet, this doesn’t deter me from lacing up my shoes today and getting back out there.
Actually, it makes me feel tougher and more hardcore as a runner.
Yeah, nothing can bring me down.
