Summer Study

Dinosaur Study

I asked our four-year-old what he wanted to study this summer and his second response was “Dinosaurs!” Here are some of the resources I’ve pulled together. I am not aiming to have a huge curriculum, but rather just have resources that will continue to provide answers to his questions and pique his interest.

What happens when a species is extinct? It means that something in the animal’s habitat changes so that they can get the food, water, and air that they need to survive. What can we do to help other species so they don’t become extinct? How can we protect other animal’s habitats so that they have what they need?

Empathy

When we go outside, we are in a bug’s habitat. We are the bigger being and so it is our job to protect and preserve the smaller being. (These are crucial instructions for those of us who live with privilege in laying the foundation to be a helper.)
