What do you want to do today, puppy?

On the rare occasion that I have an open day where my to-do list doesn’t involve meetings or clients, then I get to spend most of the day with Willie. Often, I will look at him and say, “What do you want to do today, puppy?” He looks at me with a wagging tail and excited eyes because honestly, he doesn’t care what we do. He’s just excited that I don’t seem to be in a rush.

This is not to say that he doesn’t have opinions (boy, does he!), but it is to say that whether we decide to go on a hike or go to the dog park or to the pet store. There’s opportunity and possibility in his big brown eyes and he reminds me that today is a new day!
