I really appreciate the men and women who have supported me as I traverse into this new world of ministry. They gave been encouraging, challenging and thoughtful.
But I just have to say…I’m not a youth minister.
I know I was a teacher and I thoroughly enjoyed my time with my students. I know my background in curriculum development would be helpful. I know it would be easier to take a step as a woman in ministry if I started in youth ministry, but I also know with even more certainty that I’m not a youth minister. I’m a preacher.
So thank you for your encouragement and thank you for letting me know about the job openings in youth ministry, but it’s just not for me.
